4 1/4 hrs / 900m of difference in altitude / level of difficulty: medium
This walk takes you straight into the middle of the Puez-Odles nature park. Starting on the steep slopes of the Stevia mountain, the route winds down through the wonderful Alpine flora of the Cisles valley.
Starting point: above Selva, Daunei car park 1.687m
From the car park, start out towards rifugio Juac, then, soon after, take path no. 3 to the right and follow it to path no. 17a (Palota path), until you reach an altitude of about 1,300 m where path no. 17 leading up from rifugio Juac joins to the left. Now walk eastwards on a sharp ridge to forcella San Silvestro, then walk into a gorge and continue over the grassy slopes to the Stevia hut. Continue northwards from the hut walking over the alpine pastures, through a corrie and finally over a steep and grassy slope to the mountain ridge.
Descent: Walk down the gorge and over a steep, rocky section to rifugio Firenze mountain hut, from there continue to rifugio Juac and walk down path no. 3 again, take the stations of the cross path which leads into Vallunga and from there walk back to Selva.

Sellaronda in summer

"Enjoy the Sellaronda also in summer"
In summer the Sella Ronda is a popular route for well trained mountain bikers. Every year many athletes and enthusiasts come here to celebrate the Sella Ronda Bike Day together. Another highlight is certainly the MTB Marathon Sella Ronda Hero which was organised for the first time in the summer of 2010. The tough, but fascinating race challenges the athletes' forces on optionally 50 or 82 kilometres and a difference in altitude of 2600 or 4200 m has to be mastered.

World Cup Tours in the Dolomites UNESCO natural world heritage.

While experiencing the South Tyrolean Sella Massive used to be a privilege of the skiers of the Sella Ronda in winter, it has now become possible also for mountain bikers to master this famous panoramic tour. However, the route may only be taken with expertised MTB guides. Bikers appreciate our central position in the natural garden of the Dolomites.

Sellaronda Bike Day & Hero

Two very special mountain biking and cycling events take place on a yearly basis on a summer weekend in June or July. On occasion of the Sellaronda Hero Mountain bike Marathon, the hardest MTB-race of the world and the Sellaronda Bike Day (when the mountain pass roads of the Dolomites are closed for all motorized vehicles) all the region around the Sella massive from Val Gardena to Val Badia, Ampezzo and Val di Fassa totally is in cycling spirit. And while the best fight to win the Sellaronda Hero on Saturday, the Bike Day on Sunday is for everybody and a rather sociable and easygoing event.
